Upon redeeming your 90 day Runescape
membership card that you bought from GameStop in the USA and nowhere
else, you will get a notification on your chat box indicating that your
Katana is waiting for you in your bank. If there is no room in your
bank, then you can pick it up from Diango who is located in Draynor
Village. He's also the same man whom you can reclaim it from if you
happen to lose it. Let me clarify this one more time for the idiots who
don't pay attention, you can only get this sword by purchasing a 90 day
card from GameStop in the USA. Did you hear that? Not 30 days! 90 Days!
Not Target! GameStop! And not Bangkok! America!
So you payed over a good bill for this sword which means the sword must be good, right? Think again. The sword has stats that are similar to those of an Iron 2h Sword and has about the same speed as one. I guess it's called a Decorative Katana for a reason. Twenty bucks well spent. That was sarcasm in case you couldn't catch that.
PROS:
+ Most likely will become a collector's item in the future, even if you are unable to trade it.
+ Looks cool... I guess.
CONS:
- This cost over twenty dollars.
- The stats are a joke.
Overall Thoughts and Rating:
Here's the thing, if you plan on renewing your Runescape membership anytime soon, then I suggest you buy one of these 90 day cards only for the pure fact that this sword will be unavailable after July 10, 2011. To some, that fact alone is worth the price of admission. However, if you don't plan on renewing your membership anytime soon, then I suggest you save those twenty dollars for something better than just a gimmicky virtual sword.
